The Pop Violinist Bringing the Renaissance to Life
Pierpaolo Foti was born in Trieste in 1997. He began his studies at the Trieste Conservatory at just 10 years old. The continued at the conservatories of Florence and Parma, graduating from the N. Paganini Conservatory in Genoa.
Pierpaolo composes his works inspired by the harmonic canons of ancient music, reinterpreting them with a contemporary twist. The result is a unique style that breaks down the barriers between classical and modern music, giving rise to performance of extraordinary emotional intensity
Pierpaolo performed in New York , Minneapolis and Nashville and as guest on the american national networks NBC and Channel 5 , on the Slovenian Television RTVSlo , on the Italian national TV Rai and on tour on the radio stations as RDS.
His artistic image is the fruit of careful historical and cultural research. His garments, made 100% from the finest hand-woven silk and finished with an ancient snail slime treatment, are distinguished by their unmistakable sheen and the highest quality craftsmanship. Some of the outfits are also embellished with pure gold and each creation is valued betwenn 10.000 and 16.000 Euro. For some performance Pierpaolo also wears authentic original 18th-Century costumes, rented from the most prestigious Venetian atelier specializing in period costumes.
